Typically the way a headset works with most of the newer phone systems is: the phone can be programmed to be in Headset Mode. When a phone is programmed to be in Headset Mode the speakerphone is disabled and the headset then is enabled. The difference between a wireless headset and a bluetooth headset is: the wireless headset is configured with the Dect 6 technology that will allow a larger roaming capability and the Bluetooth used mostly used with a cell phone does not have nearly the roaming capability.
Optional handset lifter available. With the use of the optional Headset Lifter is mounted onto the handset, does not require the phone to be in headset mode, and to go off hook the user will simply press a button on the side of the headset.
Please Note Users are not able to place calls on hold while away from there desk on the Wireless Headset. You will have to return to the phone to place a caller on hold. All you can do is answer a call and hangup a call.
